Religion: All are finishing a biblical timelines.
6th Grade Math: This week continues with Topic 2: Integers and Rational Numbers. We will be reviewing early this week and the test is scheduled for Wednesday. Then time will be taken to work more on integers: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
Reading/Language Arts: Check Mrs. Massmann's webpage.
5th Grade Math: Topic 3: Fluently Multiply Multi-digit Whole Numbers. There will be some reviewing this week with the test scheduled for Wednesday. Some students could use some time to review the basic multiplying facts. That would help the multi-digit multiplying go easier.
Social Studies: Chapter 4: Ancient Egypt and Kush. The focus will be on the Middle Kingdom and the pyramids.
Science: The first unit is cells. The quiz for lesson 4 was today. We will spend the rest of the week reviewing the whole first chapter with the test being on Thursday. Students have many handouts and past quizzes to help study, along with their notes and text book. There has been quite a bit of discussion about good ways to study all this material. The book is theirs, so highlighting and note taking in the book is encouraged.
5th Grade Social Studies: Chapter 2: Native Americans. All have had the opportunity to work on the shelter projects here at school. Miss Holm explained to all how to work on the project at home. The project was due on Friday. There were a few minutes to finish up today. All those that were already finished got an extra sticker. The chapter test is scheduled for Tuesday.
